Studios and tennis elbows...

We are moving to a new house and I'll have a new studio!

My new studio is 100 metres from the sea, with a view and a fireplace. Glass window on one side and a roof that can open up in good weather. Isn't that awesome!
I'm so happy, It happened so quickly! Four weeks ago we were not even thinking of moving when friends of our offered us their rental. It is a house that I have always liked. Old and spacious, with lovely views and mostly open plan.

I have been spending a lot of time focusing on advertising my art classes. With me bad tennis elbow I cannot paint much and have been forced to do a slow down. Normally I would have finished about 30 paintings by this time of the year. So far I have only managed to finish 6 paintings.
I am forced to work small because any larger movements involving my elbow becomes extremely painful.

Therefore I have decided on painting smaller more realistic work. I called it 'Realistic Impressionism', using my signature colours and style. Its easier for me to work on because I only have to move my fingers and wrist.

O03-2011 Lunchtime
130  x 380   R 1,800.00
Oil on boxed canvass
This is one of the pieces I have been working on.

Because of the detail, the painting takes up to 30 hours to finish. I try to not make it too realistic, but still try and keep an Impressionistic feel to the paint and brush strokes.

Maybe my tennis elbow happened for a reason? Who knows? I'm ok with taking this year as it comes and going (hopefully) full steam ahead next year.

Hey Leonie, awesome re the new house. Whose house was it? Otherwise, how are you and Rob doing?

Just a remark if I may; it is not God's will for you to have tennis elbow, this is nothing more than the devil robbing from you and from the people who would benefit from your talent!
"I rebuke you tennis elbow in the name of Jesus and command you to leave Leonie right now! Leonie WAS healed by His wounds, He heals all our diseases(it is one of the benefits we have for loving Him!) and I command peace and prosperity for Leonie in the name of Jesus. Amen!"

Check out this web site http://www.awmi.net and then have a listen to his teaching titled: "God wants you well." Another great teaching is: "You've already got it!" and "Spirit, soul and body"

Cheers, Clint
